Recently the pneumatic systems have been widely used in mechatronics equipment’s and systems. Therefore, minimization of energy consumption during the work becomes considered as a main design objective for these equipment’s and systems. This paper proposes a new approach for optimization performance and energy efficiency of servo pneumatic systems, which depend on energy saving while it is working with the PID controller, that its own gain parameters tunes by use particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm according to the conditions operating system which used. It was observed that the performances of PID controller with PSO optimized parameters perform well in the fields of improving the performance saving the energy of servo pneumatic system. It’s found the results of theoretically part for the bridging method, the maximum energy saving obtained is 15 % at 4 bars. In the experimental part was obtained the maximum energy saving obtained is 13.3 % at 8 bars
