This paper presents and aims to model of the horizontal flexible plate (HFP) system and control the resulting vibration using Cuckoo Search (CS) Technique as an intelligent evolutionary method. HFP is a vital field especially when be subjected to disturbance force and leads the system to failure. Initially, a HFP system has been designed and developed with integrated electromechanical devices to collect the vibration data. The obtained data used later to model the system based on auto regressive exogenous model and Cuckoo Search (CS) technique (ARX-CS) where, CS employed to find the estimation parameters and obtain the final transfer function, as well as it validated by mean square error (MSE) algorithm . As a final stage, simulation active control technique based on PID-CS controller implemented to control the unwanted vibration. Best PID parameters of obtained by CS technique as an intelligent optimization method and evaluated by MSE. The results appeared that the best model was specified when the lowest MSE of 1.42*10-4 at 2nd model order. Moreover, PID-CS method successfully reduced the unwanted vibration up to (79.6 %) at lowest MSE of 6.055*10-5.
