This work deals with the preparation and characterization of two different types of natural powder which is nano-thyme (NT) and nano-pumpkin (NP) and investigation of its adding on the mechanical properties of epoxy matrix composite at different weight fractions (0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%). Hand Lay-Up method was utilized to prepare the nanocomposite samples. Flexural, compression, impact, hardness tests for these samples had been investigated. The results showed that flexural modulus and compressive strength incremented with the weight fraction of both powder types in epoxy composite. While the values of flexural strain, flexural strength, shear stress, impact strength, and hardness decreased. The nano-thyme powder showed a varied behavior in epoxy matrix compared with nano-pumpkin powder.
