The Path and Maturity Model of University Libraries to Enhance the Social Network Service Ability

ABSTRACT: From the rise to the current popularity, the services provided by SNS have been a considerable development in university libraries. In order to reflect the continuous improvement of the management process, this article aimed to build an evaluation model for the maturity of the social network service in university libraries through the discussion of the process management and knowledge consulting. By introducing the existing services maturity methods, with the combination of the inherent in the evaluation of the university library’s social network service, this article presented 5 levels of maturity model to measure the evolution process of the university library’s social network service, and put forward the countermeasures for enhancing services’ quality and level.
