ABSTRACT: The theory of value stream has the extremely important significance to the enterprise’s organization reengineering, management improvement, strategic planning and resource allocation. Value stream map not only can be used as a tool to management improvement, business planning and communication, but also can transform enterprise from traditional to lean one. This paper uses value stream map to analyze the status quo and lean improvement to the connector production line, which can effectively shorten the cycling time of production system, reduce the WIP inventory, and rebuild the manufacturing process. From these researches, production line capacity, value-added ratio and balance of the rate and artificial efficiency are improved substantially, which all can increase the enterprise market competition ability.

Keywords : Value stream; Production line; Improvement.
