ABSTRACT: This study mainly focuses on the study of the elastic-plastic issues of axially symmetric circular pressure tunnels with double linings in infinite homogeneous bodies. It is assumed that surrounding rock is the uniform, continuous and isotropic ideal elastic-plastic medium, with displacement continuity between the lining and the surrounding rock. Mohr-Coulomb yield criteria is applied to the stress field of the plastic zone the. The analytical stress field and deformation field of the linings are explored under the condition that the radial stress is the first principle stress in the yield conditions, considering the elastic-plastic interface located in the inner lining, the outer lining and rock. The research results can provide guidance for the design of tunnel lining. Finally, the condition of yield position changing from the lining to the surrounding rock is presented.
