ABSTRACT: Zhangdan958 and Danghai601 were used as materials in order to study source-sink characteristics of super-high yield maize. The result indicated that Denghai601 have the longer growing period. Its leaf area index is the largest. Its dry weight of leaf-source and stalk are heavier than Zhangdan958. Yield of Denghai 601 is 18474 kg/ha. Number of ears per hectare is 91800 eras/ha. Grain number per ears is 528 grains/era. Thousand grains weight is 384.75 g. The grain-leaf ratio of Denghai601 is 0.23 kg/m2. All of these characteristics are worse than Denghai601. Yield of Zhangdan958 is less than 15000kg/ha.
