ABSTRACT: Enterprise business can be divided into core business, assistant business, external business and marketing business. Under the situation of deepened intra-product specialization and increasingly fierce market competition, an enterprise needs to distinguish the importance degree of its business and locate the core business, and then build its core competence. On the basis of building evaluation index system of business importance degree, the paper puts forward a method of distinguishing business importance degree by integrating the methods of AHP and ELECTRE, and gives an example to verify its feasibility and effectiveness.
