ABSTRACT: Irregular shaped objects could be clamped without manual adjustments using flexibility of design and downtime settings of fixture and decreased cost by mobile modular fixture. By using lead screw mechanism fixture can be independently controlled with DC motors. With use of image processing technique using MATLAB automation arrangement of fixtures could be analyzed using M2F algorithm. Micro controller is used to adjust the DC motor actuation and process optimization. Image overlapping algorithm is used to extracting the coordinates of the work piece with reference to image obtained. Dynamic analysis of Mobile modular fixture was carried out using Simulink model. Regression analysis and ANOVA was done to identify the linear relationship between delay periods with fixture clamp movement. A real time prototype model was fabricated for testing and implementation of algorithm.
